Chad has extensive experience with all types of hair with particular expertise in curly and textured hair. He has completed multiple training courses in curly and textured hair including through Deva Curl, and is level 1 "Inspired".
Coming to Utah from Wyoming with a background in engineering and theater, Chad completed his training at the Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design in West Jordan, Utah.
In 2005, Chad performed alongside Phillip Wilson at the International Salon and Spa Exposition in Los Angeles. Chad was named one of Beacon’s top hair students in the same year and won the Utah cosmetology award. Chad has taken his training to another level to excel in cutting, coloring, hair extensions, and makeup application.
Chad is knowledgeable in many aspects of the salon business and his talents range from the scientific to creative ends of the spectrum. Chad has been fortunate to work under industry giants Phillip Wilson, Nicholas French, Oscar Bond, Vivienne MacKinder, & Brian and Sandra Smith. He’s also worked with world-renowned photographers Babak, Keith Bryce, and Manicproject, where his work has been published and seen worldwide countless times.
This two-time North American Hairstyling Awards Finalist (Avant Garde 2010 and Texture 2010), two-time Southwest Hairstyling Awards Finalist (Master Stylist 2015 and SW Hairstylist of the Year 2016), and a Southwest Hairstyling Awards Winner (SW Avant-Garde Hairstylist of the Year 2017) is drawn to Avant-Garde styles and sees beauty in the most ordinary of things.
Chad’s passion for doing hair come from being able to give clients the confidence they always wanted with their hair. He also enjoys fostering a connection with clients over time, and having the opportunity to see them grow and change in their lives.
An alumni of the University of Utah, Chad was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in May of 2021.
Chad resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, and gives back by offering advanced education at the local cosmetology schools.
